Alaina is an experienced intervention specialist and virtual Structured Literacy tutor with extensive training in education, curriculum, technology, and Orton-Gillingham instruction.

My name is Alaina Kissinger, and I am excited to be joining the RightMinds Tutoring team. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education with licensure in Primary Education K–3 and Intervention Specialist K–12. I also hold a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master’s degree in Design and Technology for K–12 Learners.

For the past four years, I have worked as a fifth-grade Intervention Specialist, and this upcoming school year I will be transitioning to a fifth-grade Language Arts teacher. In addition to my classroom experience, I recently became Orton-Gillingham certified after completing 108 hours of training and implementation.

This specialized training has equipped me with effective multisensory strategies to support students as they build strong reading skills and gain confidence as learners. I am passionate about helping students become successful readers and inspiring a lifelong love of learning.

When I’m not teaching or working with students, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and traveling. Since I’m from Ohio, I especially love visiting warm, sunny destinations.

I am thrilled to begin this new chapter with the RightMinds Tutoring team and look forward to partnering with families, supporting students, and celebrating every success along the way.
