Bethany Kulig

My name is Bethany Kulig, and I am the Owner and Founder of RightMinds Tutoring. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Central Florida and have completed extensive professional training in evidence-based literacy instruction. This includes 30 hours of Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator training and 30 hours of Associate-level training through the Orton-Gillingham Academy. In addition, I completed the PreK–5 Structured Literacy Training Program through Cox Campus, an initiative of the Atlanta Speech School. I also completed a 40-hour certification course in Neurodiversity Coaching, equipping me to better support students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other learning differences.

Before founding RightMinds, I worked as a Speech Therapy Assistant and later as a Clinical Assistant for a pediatric neuropsychologist. Those roles gave me a deeper understanding of language development, learning profiles, neurodevelopmental differences, and the importance of high-quality assessment and intervention. I also served as a Tier II Reading Interventionist, where I saw firsthand how powerful explicit, systematic, multisensory instruction can be when students are given the right tools.

I founded RightMinds Tutoring after recognizing a critical gap in educational services on the Space Coast: the lack of access to multisensory structured literacy and multisensory math instruction. Families needed a place where children could receive individualized, research-driven support to strengthen both foundational and advanced academic skills. My vision was to create a learning center that not only addresses challenges but also nurtures confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.

In addition to leading RightMinds, I actively contribute to advocacy, policy, and family support. I serve as a member of the Decoding Dyslexia Florida Legislative Steering Committee and as the State Lead for the Dyslexia-Literacy Collaborative: Florida, an online community dedicated to collaboration, resources, and family empowerment. I am also a Choice Navigator for the Step Up For Students Scholarship Program, where I guide families in navigating educational options and resources to ensure that children have access to the learning environments best suited to their needs.

As both an educator and a mother, I am deeply committed to a child-centered, strengths-based approach to learning. Education should celebrate each child's unique abilities while providing targeted support where it is needed most. Moving away from deficit-based models that focus solely on what a child cannot do, I emphasize strategies that identify and build upon individual strengths. This approach enables students to experience success, gain confidence, and develop the skills necessary to become the best versions of themselves.

At the heart of my mission is a commitment to equipping students, parents, and teachers with practical tools and strategies that lead to meaningful growth. Whether the goal is building foundational literacy, strengthening math concepts, or achieving greater independence as a learner, I strive to support families in reaching both short-term academic milestones and long-term educational success.
